What we publish
One issue a month, on the first Thursday. Each edition runs a featured story on the month’s most consequential development, a numbers section split between United States and global indicators, a risk watch, three concrete action steps, a profile of one industry player, and reader-submitted outlooks from the field.
Every figure is cited inline to a primary source — earnings releases and 8-K filings, trade association retail data, insurance market notices, fuel price benchmarks, and wire reporting. If we cannot source it, we do not print it. Where we are drawing an inference rather than reporting a fact, we say so.
What we do not publish
No launch galleries, no charter destination guides, no sponsored builder profiles, and no paid placement of any kind. Nothing in Helm & Horizon is investment advice, and nothing is behind a paywall.
How it is produced
Each edition is researched and drafted on a fixed monthly schedule, then reviewed before it goes out. Every issue is published in three forms: as an email edition, as a typeset PDF companion with clickable source links, and as a permanent page on this site. Back issues are never removed and never gated.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we want to fix it in the next issue and annotate the web edition. Email editor@thehelmandhorizon.com with the issue number and the figure in question.
Editorial standard
We would rather publish a smaller issue with four sourced numbers than a longer one with fourteen unsourced ones. Readers are making floor-plan and order-book decisions against this material.
